Robert Allan Ltd. staff appointments

Robert Allan Ltd. Naval Architects of Vancouver, has just recently made two senior staff appointments to add support to the firm’s senior management in the current period of significant growth of the firm.

Brig Henry, M.Sc., MBA has joined Robert Allan Ltd. in the newly created position of General Manager, with responsibility for Contracts Management and Project Administration.

John Conlon has been appointed as Quality Assurance Manager, to direct the company’s current program towards completion of ISO 9001:2000 Registration.

Brig joins Robert Allan Ltd. after a career in the Canadian Navy as both a Marine Systems Engineering Officer and as a Naval Architect, and has for the past seven years been Director of Business Development for Autoship Systems Corporation.

John has 25 years experience in Marine Engineering Systems design and operations in the Australian Navy, and more than 10 years experience in Q/A Systems Management and Testing and Trials Management with the Australian Navy, Catamaran Ferries International, and most recently with OceanWorks International, Inc.

Robert Allan Ltd. is a leader in the design of commercial work boats of all types, best known for its work in the design of high-performance ship-handling and escort tugs, and of major fireboats. Currently the firm has design contracts for more than 150 new vessels in 25 countries around the world. The company is actively recruiting creative and talented Naval Architects and Marine Engineers to join their dynamic design team.
