The history of Robert Allan Ltd. is closely linked with the development of high-performance tugboats of all types, for coastal and ocean towing or for ship-handling and escort. Today our designs are widely accepted as the performance benchmark for ship-assist, tanker escort, river transportation and offshore support service. To navigate the many hundreds of tug designs available to serve the unique needs of our many clients, we have created “the right tug” to help the reader choose the best tug for each application. RAmbler
Compact line-handler / mooring boat, 12-20 metres. Conventional propulsion, twin or single prop configuration.

Remotely controlled escort and ship-handling tug – a RAVE on remote control! Highly manoeuvrable, powerful, unique fore and aft VSP drive configuration.
RAmpage
