Engineers in Motion – Dr. Hongling Zhang, P.Eng.

Robert Allan Ltd. is very pleased to announce that Dr. Hongling Zhang, P.Eng., an integral part of the Naval Architecture team at Robert Allan Ltd., has been awarded her accreditation as a Registered Professional Engineer with APEGBC (The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia).

Hongling has more than 15 years of experience as a naval architect, including 8 years working in R&D Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co. Ltd. in Shanghai, China. Prior to working with the shipyard, she was also a research assistant at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China.

Hongling has worked on a variety of designs over the past 7 years here at Robert Allan Ltd, including projects relating to tugboats, fireboats, offshore supply vessels, barges, a compact Ro-Ro ferry, and she was also a key part of the CSIRO Science Vessel project team.

Hongling enjoys photography and outdoor sports in her spare time.
