Engineers in Motion – Brendan Smoker, P.Eng.

Robert Allan Ltd. is pleased to announce that Mr. Brendan Smoker has earned his accreditation as a Registered Professional Engineer with APEGBC (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia).

Brendan obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2009 and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering – Computational Fluid Dynamics in 2012, both from University of Victoria.

Brendan has been working with Robert Allan Ltd. since 2011 specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), related to tug performance prediction. Prior to working at Robert Allan Ltd., Brendan completed work terms at Eurocan Pulp and Paper (Kitimat, BC) and Nicholson Manufacturing Ltd (Sidney, BC).

He also presented a Paper at Tugnology 2013 held in London on “Escort Tug Performance Prediction Using CFD” which was co-authored by Mr. Bart Stockdill, P.Eng.

In his spare time, Brendan enjoys outdoor adventures with his family.
