ITS 2006 venue for launching new orders for Robert Allan Ltd. RAmpage Series offshore support tugs

The ITS 2006 Conference held in Rotterdam, April 24 to 28, 2006 was the venue selected to announce two major new contracts for versions of the Robert Allan Ltd. RAmpage Series Offshore Support Tug designs. Clients and Shipyards combined to make public announcements of the following new projects:
- Lamnalco of Sharjah, UAE announced the signing of a contract with Greenbay Marine of Singapore and Robert Allan Ltd. for the construction of a RAmpage 5000 Z-M of 80 tonnes BP.
- Barry Offshore Ltd. of Lisbon, Portugal, announced the signing of a contract with Robert Allan Ltd. for the design of a RAmpage 5000 Z-M of 112 tonnes BP. The builder will be selected shortly.
The two new projects will each have different main propulsion, auxiliary, and deck machinery packages, according to the Owners individual requirements. These orders bring to five the total confirmed for this new class of powerful offshore support tug, with one in service, the Seabulk Angola for Seabulk, and two more nearing completion at Keppel Singmarine for Groupe Bourbon. Several other design contracts for the RAmpage 5000 Z-M Class tug are also in the immediate offing.
