DRAfter SERIES

The DRAfter series of tugs are multi-function, shallow draft tugs designed to support operations in coastal and protected waters. Equipped with heavy duty aft towing gear and deck cranes, they are equally suitable for towing, anchor handling, and maintaining nearshore infrastructure. With large comfortable accommodations and wide unobstructed flat aft decks the vessels can act as a primary work platform when operating independently or as a support tug to larger vessels. Typically these tugs are offered with twin-screw propulsion; however they can also be configured with a triple screw arrangement to allow for operation in extremely shallow water environments. Clients without a stringent draft constraint and looking for a more manoeuvrable ASD tug should consider one of the shallow draft “-SD” versions of the RAmparts designs.

DRAfter series tugs are designated by length: e.g. DRAfter 2500. The power, draft, and other dimensions will vary according to the intended service and owner’s requirements.
